| Yum
Cha Dragon Chinese BBQ & Restaurant is located right along the
water at Waterfront City, Docklands.
Yum
Cha Dragon features the lively and social "yum cha"
style dining. In Melbourne "Yum Cha" is served only
at lunch, but Yum Cha Dragon has broken this tradition and offers
it for both lunch and dinner.
On
the Yum Cha menu you will find a variety of smaller sized dishes
– select a few of your favourites and share them with everyone
on your table. You can order dishes from the menu or request them
straight from the Yum Cha trolley as is goes past your table.
Al-la-carte
style dining is also available for those who prefer it. Try the
“Five spiced roast pork marinated with BBQ sauce on bok choy with plum sauce 18.00” – one of the temping
Chinese Barbeque items. Or go for a seafood dish such
as the “Satay calamari wok fried with pineapple, onion & capsicum 21.00”.
For
special occasion dining you can’t go past one of Yum Cha
Dragon’s amazing seafood or barbeque platters. Waiters get
so excited when you order a platter they celebrate by sounding
the gong for all to hear. Banquets are also available.
The
interior is something to behold with oriental themed décor,
Chinese ornaments, marble tables, bamboo, lanterns and beautiful
chandeliers. There’s even a water feature complete with
2 large dragons.
Groups
of 8 can take advantage of one of the two private dining areas
within the restaurant.
Every
table has a view looking out to the Docklands promenade and bustling
waterways, however if you want to get closer to the action outside
dining is available under the shade of the giant umbrellas –
perfect for a lazy afternoon by the water.
Peking Duck Experience $58.00
When you order the Whole Peking Duck you are in for a real treat – its an experience, not just a meal.
Your duck, with its crispy skin and succulent meat will be presented to your table whole. It will then be taken away for our Master Chef to prepare for you. Chef will carefully slice the meat to use for your Peking Duck. He will use the remaining meat in a stir fry combined with fresh bean shoots, kale and spring onions. The bones will be used to flavour a delicious duck broth with ginger, bok choy and bean curd. With this experience, none of the duck goes to waste!
Have fun with your food
To enhance the enjoyment of your Peking Duck Experience, you have the opportunity to prepare the Peking Duck yourself. Platters of duck meat, delicate pancakes, Hoi Sin sauce, and strips of cucumber and spring onion will be placed in the centre of your table. Now the fun begins!
